MEASUREMENT OF STRAINS USING FIBER-OPTIC SENSORS DURING STRENGTH TESTING OF ANISOGRID COMPOSITE STRUCTURES

Abstract. The paper presents results of measuring strains in elements of the anisogrid lattice composite structure during its loading with an impressed force directed along structural axis. It has been established that the results of strain testing using Bragg grating based fiber-optic sensors glued on a surface of the structure are well correlated with both strain gage indications and calculated strain values. It is shown that temperature registered in the place of structural failure increases by 4…8 C. It is supposed that the heat release process during loading begins still before failure of the structure, but cannot be fixed on the external surface because of high rate of growing the load.
