EFFICIENCY ASSESSMENT OF THE RECIRCULATOR SOLAR-60
(pp. 58-62)

Abstract. The fight against infectious diseases has always been considered an urgent task. In the conditions of distribution of a new coronavirus infection, bactericidal recirculators are gaining great popularity, which previously were in demand only among medical organizations and government agencies. And now they are bought for personal use in large quantities. It is known recirculators are used in rooms for air disinfection in order to reduce the level of bacterial contamination and create conditions to prevent the spread of pathogens of infectious diseases. But unlike other openacting bactericidal lamps, the recirculator eliminates the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation on humans. Studies were carried out to assess the efficiency of using the recirculator SOLAR-60, manufactured by JSC “Gorky Communication Equipment Plant named after A. S. Popov”. The studies were carried out using the engineering calculation method. Indicators such as bactericidal performance, time of irradiation of the air flow of air in the chamber were determined. Moreover the obtained values confirmed the values of the volumetric exposure and the bactericidal efficiency of air flow disinfection. In conclusion, the compliance of the fan performance with the calculated values was checked.

Keywords: irradiation, recirculator, air disinfection, bactericidal efficiency.
