Abstract. Increasing the efficiency of centerless grinding is one of the important tasks of mechanical engineering, in particular, for the tasks solved at JSC Concern East Kazakhstan Region Almaz Antey within the framework of large-scale production of products for the defense complex. The paper establishes the possibility of diagnosing the technological cutting system in order to ensure the most favorable grinding conditions. The most favorable grinding conditions have been identified to meet the requirements set by the drawing of the part. As a result of this approach, the most rational boundaries for controlling the parameters "hardness", "microhardness" and "roughness" are proposed.
Keywords: centerless grinding, diagnostics, control.
