ADAPTIVE FREQUENCY CONVERTER FOR POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM RELAY PROTECTION

Abstract. The article presents a metrological analysis of a relay protection device whose operating principle is based on resonance in electrical circuits. The parameters of this circuit are adjusted to a resonant frequency of 50 Hz. This method of frequency deviation measuring is indirect, namely, the frequency deviation is determined by the phase angle between current and voltage. In this device, many different factors have a negative effect on the accuracy of frequency determination, and especially the inconstancy of the frequency voltage amplitude due to the features of the frequency response of the electrical circuit. At certain values of frequency deviation, the relay does not function. The article presents an adaptive relay with automatic amplitude stabilization, which allows eliminating the influence of many factors on the error and, accordingly, increasing the accuracy of recording the emergency mode.
