A comprehensive assessment of the reproducibility and suitability of measuring, manufacturing processes and measuring instruments is proposed. Based on the indicators and characteristics of Measurement System Analysis (MSA), the Automotive Industry Standard (VDA), and Statistical Control Methodology (SPC), a comparative analysis was conducted that takes into account the key aspects of the three guidelines. The practical approbation of the measurement results of the inner diameter of the housing bore for flange bearings is shown. The method of variance analysis revealed significant differences in the estimates of uncertainties obtained by different operators, different samples and their interaction, which must be taken into account in the study of the suitability of the measuring instrument. Studies of the linearity and displacement of the measuring process and the measuring instrument by regression analysis allowed us to assess the significance of the standard uncertainty caused by the displacement, indicating a problem in using the measuring instrument. A graphical illustration of the evaluation results based on areas formed by conditions capable of meeting the needs of measuring and manufacturing processes in terms of key indicators of their reproducibility and suitability is proposed. The proposed approach made it possible to develop practical recommendations for improving the production and measurement processes, as well as the measuring device. Keywords: reproducibility, uncertainty estimation, analysis of variance, statistical control of processes, analysis of measuring systems.
