DOI: 10.14489/td.2026.08.pp.037-042 Belyakov M. V., Efremenkov I. Yu. Abstract. Photoluminescent control methods are relatively simple to implement, fast-acting and have a relatively low cost. The purpose of this work is to develop a portable photoluminescent device for determining the moisture content of silage. The device determines the moisture content according to the calibration equations obtained by the authors. According to the maximum effective output when excited by the radiation source of the device, an LED with a wavelength of 362 nm VLMU3510-365-130 was selected. The VEMD5510CF photodiode with a spectral range of 440…620 nm is used as a luminescence radiation receiver. An operational amplifier and other electronic components, a display have been selected, and a light-proof enclosure has been developed. A device circuit, an algorithm for its operation, and software for determining the moisture content of silage have been developed. The error and sensitivity of the device were determined, and a comparison was made with optical analogues and thermogravimetric moisture meters.
