DOI: 10.14489/td.2026.07.pp.041-047 Petrov V. V., Bakholdin A. V. Abstract. Modern environmental safety requirements require the control of trace concentrations (1 mg/m3) of carbon monoxide. The paper considers the problem of improving the measurement accuracy of an optical gas analyzer operating on the principle of non-dispersive infrared spectroscopy. The main factors limiting sensitivity are the thermal noise of the receiver and the long-term temperature drift of the amplification path. The aim of the research is to develop an algorithm for digital processing of the sensor output signal, which makes it possible to isolate a useful signal against the background of interference. A method based on regression analysis (least squares method) with linear approximation of the signal over a sliding interval is proposed. This approach allows you to simultaneously compensate for the low-frequency trend and reduce the level of random error by averaging multiple samples. The optimal data accumulation time (at least 20 s in each channel) has been experimentally determined, at which the required measurement error of a trace concentration of 1 mg/m3 is achieved.
